The Challenge
A leading global health organization faced a critical problem: vaccine service delivery rates were falling short of targets across their network of community health workers. Traditional classroom training was expensive, inconsistent, and difficult to scale across multiple regions.
Our Approach
Working closely with subject matter experts and field teams, BCL designed a comprehensive digital learning academy. The program combined scenario-based eLearning modules with microlearning reinforcement and virtual coaching sessions, ensuring that health workers could learn at their own pace while receiving the support they needed.
Key Design Elements
- Realistic scenarios based on actual field situations
- Mobile-first design for access in low-bandwidth environments
- Spaced practice and retrieval to reinforce critical knowledge
- Virtual coaching sessions for complex skill development
Results
The program produced a measurable 27% increase in vaccine service delivery within the first year. Health workers reported feeling more confident and better prepared, and supervisors observed improved technique and patient communication.
